20th January, 2018 - PORTRAITS IN COLLAGE—10-3.30pm at Atworth Village Hall.
Working with a torn paper collage technique on an art board, we will be exploring the use of small pieces of coloured printed paper to get skin tones, facial features and interesting backgrounds to reproduce our version of a well known person. All materials, refreshments and handouts will be supplied, but please bring lunch. The cost is £35.
24th February, 2018—HOW TO DRAW REALISTIC FIGURES—10-3.30pm at Atworth Village Hall.
In this workshop we will be learning how to draw figures in proportion for future sketching or paintings. We look at how to get the overall scale correct before drawing figures in
different positions including sitting. Using black pastels we will also be drawing a rough
figure to get the idea of movement in a picture. All materials, refreshments and handouts will be supplied, but please bring lunch. The cost is £35.
24th March, - 2018—HOW TO BE CREATIVE WITH YOUR PAINTINGS—10-3.30pm at
Atworth Village Hall
We will look at getting away from the traditional representational approach to art, where we try to copy exactly what ever is in front of us. Using acrylic paints on canvas and paper we will look at how to break out of the rut and explore colour, imagination and creativity within our paintings. All materials, refreshments and handouts will be supplied, but please bring lunch. The cost is £35.
